We want to keep this website a positive and safe place for our members.
Although we have an AI-powered system built in to regularly check any content posted here, it's also your job as a member to help keep this website safe. This is a big responsibility, and we trust that you'll fulfill it.
Whenever you submit a story, post a comment, or engage in another form of discussion with our users, we ask you to respect this community. When you sign up, you are agreeing to the following:
- I will be kind
- I will be respectful
- I will be honest
- I will not post content which is offensive, rude, obscene, inappropriate, etc.
- I will provide only constructive criticism
- I will treat others as I want them to treat me
- I will not engage in any form of bullying
- I will not copy, use, share, or sell another member's work without the permission of their parent/guardian
- I will give credit when and where it is due
- I will provide submissions and feedback worthy of another member's time
- I will not sign up unless I am 18 or under
- I will get permission from my parent/guardian before signing up
- I will not create more than one account for myself
It is YOUR job to uphold these rules. If you disregard them, your account could be deleted.
We trust that as a member of our community, you'll follow the rules. So have fun on this site, and keep writing!
Notes: If you've noticed that another member has violated these guidelines, please email us link and screenshot. If your content is flagged, it means that other users will no longer be able to see it. Our AI flagging system is not perfect, so we review all flagged content and un-flag it if it is safe. If you think your content was wrongly flagged, please email us and we will look into it.

Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions with your parent or legal guardian before registration.
These terms and conditions are not meant to be long or scary. Our mission is to create a safe community where children can easily share our writing, and first, we want you to understand the rules.
How we handle your content: We, "Beta Readers Kids" are the owners and creators of this website. We promise never to sell, share, duplicate, or otherwise exploit user information on this website, including account information, submissions, comments, and questions or feedback, beyond Beta Readers Kids. Upon registration, we collect the username, user email, user password, and their consent as well as consent from their parent or legal guardian. The username, email, and password are stored for login and submission purposes. As for content submitted, we store the title, summary, and content of a story submission; or the content of a comment submission; as well as the username associated with it. This is to allow other users to view and interact with our website. At any time, a user can delete their content. If you delete content from our website, it will be permanently deleted, and we will not be able to retrieve it. We will not save any deleted content for future purposes.
Ownership and what we might do with your content: We can at any time and without warning delete any content, submissions, and account information on this website. Duplication or distribution of any content on this website is strictly prohibited without explicit and provable permission from the parent/guardian of the user who owns the content. We own all content on our website except that submitted by users. Each user owns their submission(s). If a user is found to be illegitimate, such as a bot, and/or if we have chosen to restrict or delete their account, ownership of all their content will be immediately transferred to us.
How we will contact you: Reasons we may contact you, the user, include but are not limited to: to respond to feedback or a question; to contact you about a violation of our guidelines; or to contact you because we are deleting your account. We promise no ads or spam emails.
How you can contact us: You can contact us through our email (bottom of this webpage). You may only contact us with your parent or guardian's permission unless you are legally an adult in the United States of America. We may keep your emails for quality management and future reference. Your emails will not be shared outside Beta Readers Kids. We welcome all your questions and suggestions, but if you send us offensive/inappropriate content or spam, we might take preventative action.
Ads and fees: There will NEVER be any ads on this website, nor will there be any fees.
Liabilities: We will not be held liable for any damages incurred by the use of our website either to you or to somebody else, including but not limited to: exploitation or loss of your content; signup without appropriate permission; any damages incurred by using or interacting with our website in any way; another user's actions against you or others; and any legal disputes which may arise. If an issue does arise, for example, a violation of guidelines by another user, you can contact us, and we will do our best to solve it.
We might alter these terms and conditions: Our terms and conditions may be altered at any time. All users will receive an email if the way their information or content is collected or used is changed.
