Alone

poem
Alone, alone, alone
While fire-stars stream by
Alone, alone, alone
On a once-vibrant planet
Alone, alone, alone
That held once-grand life before
Alone, alone, alone
With the ever-changing seasons
It dies.

I love the repetition and the pattern in the even-number lines. The ending is a bit abrupt though. Maybe add something which indicates (or just hints at, because the atmosphere rn is great) who 'it' refers to? The planet, or everything on it?

Hi! I’m Lyra. I had a thought about your poetry some poems carry such strong emotions, imagery, or atmosphere that they could work beautifully as visual artwork too, rather than staying only as written pieces. I’m a commission-based artist with around 3 years of experience, and I create illustrations based on ideas and writing. I’d love to turn one of your poems into artwork, whether that’s an illustrated scene, symbolic piece, or even a visual format you could share to promote your poetry and reach more readers. If that sounds interesting, I’d be happy to show you my portfolio. You can contact me via mail: contact.lilaclines@gmail.com insta: _lilac_lines_
