poem

Alone, alone, alone
While fire-stars stream by
Alone, alone, alone
On a once-vibrant planet
Alone, alone, alone
That held once-grand life before
Alone, alone, alone
With the ever-changing seasons
It dies.

  • I love the repetition and the pattern in the even-number lines. The ending is a bit abrupt though. Maybe add something which indicates (or just hints at, because the atmosphere rn is great) who 'it' refers to? The planet, or everything on it?
